TruGap is operated by its founders and provides career intelligence tools including CV gap analysis, CV rebuilding, and cover letter generation. These Terms of Service form a binding legal agreement between you and TruGap.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, making a payment, or using any feature of TruGap, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age, have read and understood these terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using TruGap on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. Description of Service
TruGap provides the following services to registered users:
- One free CV gap analysis for unregistered visitors on the homepage
- Up to 25 CV gap analyses per day for paid account holders, refreshing at midnight
- AI-powered CV rebuilding delivered as a downloadable Word document
- AI-powered cover letter generation
- Analysis history saved to your account
TruGap uses artificial intelligence to process the text you provide. All outputs are generated automatically and are intended as guidance to assist your application process. They do not constitute professional career or legal advice.
3. Payment and Access
Full access to TruGap is available for a one-time payment of $87. This payment grants you unlimited access to all paid features with no expiry and no recurring charges.
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Your payment is confirmed immediately on successful transaction
- The $87 fee is one-time only and grants lifetime access to the platform as it exists at the time of purchase and all non-premium feature updates
- TruGap reserves the right to introduce premium add-on features in future that may be priced separately
Refund Policy
Due to the nature of AI-generated digital services that are delivered immediately upon payment, all sales are final. TruGap does not offer refunds after an account has been activated and the service has been used. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing the service, please contact us and we will resolve it promptly.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use TruGap only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You must not:
- Use TruGap to process content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce any part of the TruGap platform or its AI prompts
- Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to access the service at scale beyond normal personal use
- Share your account credentials with others or allow multiple users to access a single account
- Upload content that belongs to others without their permission, including third-party CVs without consent
- Attempt to circumvent the 25-analysis daily limit through technical means
- Use outputs generated by TruGap to misrepresent your qualifications or experience to employers
Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
The TruGap platform, including its design, AI prompts, system architecture, and branding, is the intellectual property of TruGap and its operators. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without explicit written permission.
Content you submit to TruGap, including your CV and job description text, remains your property. By submitting content, you grant TruGap a limited licence to process that content for the purpose of delivering the service to you. This licence ends when you delete your account.
Outputs generated by TruGap based on your inputs, including rebuilt CVs and cover letters, are provided for your personal use in your own job applications.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
TruGap is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TruGap makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of the service for any particular purpose.
TruGap does not guarantee that use of its outputs will result in job interview invitations, employment offers, or any other specific outcome. Career success depends on many factors outside TruGap's control.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TruGap and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service. TruGap's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for your account ($87).
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
TruGap reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with or without prior notice. In cases of serious misuse, no refund will be issued.
9. Changes to These Terms
TruGap may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of TruGap after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify users of material changes by email where possible.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the UAE.
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data TruGap collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over it. TruGap is committed to handling your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

TruGap does not collect your IP address beyond what is inherent in server communication, does not track your browsing behaviour, does not build profiles for advertising purposes, and does not use third-party tracking pixels or cookies beyond session management.
11. How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:
- To deliver the gap analysis, CV rebuild, and cover letter services
- To maintain your account and authenticate your sessions
- To enforce usage limits and verify payment status
- To send transactional emails such as email confirmation and password resets
- To improve the reliability and performance of the service
We do not use your CV content or analysis results for AI model training. Your content is processed to generate your output and is not retained by Anthropic beyond what their data processing policies allow for in-session processing.

TruGap does not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party. We do not share your data with recruiters, employers, data brokers, or advertising networks.
13. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Specifically:
- Account data (name and email) is retained until you request deletion
- Analysis results are retained in your dashboard history until you delete them or close your account
- CV text and job description text submitted for analysis are not stored beyond what is saved in your analysis result JSON
- Upon account deletion, all personal data is removed from our systems within 30 days
To request deletion of your account and all associated data, contact us with your registered email address.
14. Security
TruGap takes reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These measures include:
- All data transmitted between your browser and TruGap is encrypted using HTTPS
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text (managed by Supabase Auth)
- API keys and service credentials are stored as server-side environment variables and are never exposed in client-side code
- Row-level security policies in our database ensure users can only access their own data
No system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you by email as soon as reasonably practicable.
15. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your personal data
- Right to portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
- Right to object: Object to processing of your personal data in certain circumstances
16. Cookies and Local Storage
TruGap uses minimal browser storage:
- Session cookies: Used by Supabase to maintain your login session. These are necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.
- Local storage: Used to remember whether you have used your free trial on the homepage. This data stays in your browser and is not sent to our servers.
TruGap does not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or any third-party tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or similar services.
